Mill Hayes Road - Litter Problem |
| Litter in this area is still a major problem and ways to resolve it were discussed, however police reported that an approach has been made to the farmer for permission to enter the field affected to clean up the mess. Tony Worthington reinforced the facts that we do live in an Alcohol Free Zone and as such drinking outside in public is a criminal offence. Latest : although a recent cleanup organised by Paul S. resulted in a large number of empty bottles being removed from the fields at the bottom of Mill Hayes Road, there has been further ones deposited in the same area. These have now been passed to the Police who are carrying out finger print analysis and possible DNA identification to identify potential culprits. A litter Pick day 2/8/10 has been organised in conjunction with the 'Keeping the Moorlands Clean organised by Staffordshire Moorland District Council'. A total of 14 bags of rubbish was collected in just 2 hours from this area, Orme Road and around the High School. |
