January 2012 - Success !!
After a long campaign by the KCA with support from local councillors we have finally been successful in having signs put in place on this road.
Hopefully this will discourage those drivers who use this road as a short cut and potentially create a safety hazard to pedestrians and car users.

The signs have been positioned at the entrance to
Mill Hayes Road from Tunstall Road and on both sides from
Park Lane.

November 2011
We are told that signs will be in place by the end of the year.

April 2011
The weight restriction signs for this road are planned to be put into place in 2011-2012 - success at last thanks to the KCA.

Previous
The ongoing problem with large vehicles using Mill Hayes Road continue to cause uneccessary problems for other users.
Recently a car transporter using the road caused a major blockage which meant a number of other vehicles having to reverse up Mill Hayes road towards Orme Road.

Further discussions have taken place between KCA and Christina Jebb to try and introduce a weight limit for all vehicles using the road.
We understand that a meeting is taking place in January 2011.

John Redfern has also promised to raise the matter directly with Christina.
