Trading Standards are advising people to beware of a Will writing plot that cons unsuspecting victims into paying for their Wills to be unnecessarily rewritten. Letters have been sent out by an unregulated group of Will writers stating that a rule change means some Wills are now invalid. The letter states that all Wills need to be page numbered and signed by the testator and witness on every page.

The Probate Registry has confirmed there has been no such change and that Wills only need to be signed and witnessed at the back.
